SHIFTER
Shae can feel the darkness rising within her. There’s a wall of rage that threatens to engulf her every time the smallest thing happens to annoy her. She can hardly blame her childhood friends or the boy she loves when they make it clear they aren’t that interested in hanging out with her anymore.
At the funeral of their friend, who has been ripped apart by a rogue pack of mountain lions, Shae starts to understand that it’s not just happening to her, the rage is happening to her friends as well, only, they seem to have found a way to deal with it. A way, they will go to any lengths to hide from Shae.
When Shae, heartbroken and alone, discovers the mountain lions are actually shifters – beings that can move between human and animal form, she knows this is what her friends are and what she thinks she might be as well.
With this discovery Shae is catapulted into the dangerous and deceitful world of the Shifters, where The Order rules all and the biggest taboo they have – keeping the shifter world secret… her friends have all ready broken. As the mountain lions continue to prowl the town and crows police the young shifters, Shae must lie to everyone to protect her friends while still trying to find out the truth about her own history.
As she descends into the shifter’s world of duality, Shae finds there is more at stake than just her heart. Her life, and more importantly, the lives of everyone she truly loves rest in her ability to learn about and control the power that she is just beginning to discover within herself.
